The history of the biblical decalog is interesting. Several authors put together several versions similar to the laws of the Hittite Kings. It is interesting how the original meanings have all but disappeared, as society has moved away from the sanction of slavery, and accorded equal rights to women.

I think I prefer the first for good ol' standard respect of most everything. The second has some stuff that I think fits under the first's "We shall be considerate of the happiness and well being of others." Specifically, protecting other people's deities seems to be advisable (lest you wake Their Wrath) but probably doesn't make my top ten list. I think it fits well under the above one, though. While it is your right to make fun of other deities, it's probably not nice in the face of believers.

Now this thread is dedicated to an irreverent view of traditional religious thought so I think there is a philosophical allowance here. I don't think you are acting immorally. It's not like you're over on the Ask God thread baiting people. That probably isn't too nice, but I still think it doesn't make my top ten list. Besides, they don't seem to be too nice to other's beliefs.

I've retreated from my ventures over to the political thread because there seems to be a lot of opinion and not a lot of introspection or thought. Politics and religion seems to do that to people and attracts an element that figures if they say something often enough, loud enough and rude enough it becomes true.

When I hear "Liberal" over there it sounds a lot like when some start calling people "athiests" here. What they MEAN is people that think differently than they do and are willing to point out that they are factually incorrect.
