Hi Carl,

Do you think this would make companies that are considering using Rambus technology think twice? After all, who wants to get involved in a long court battle.

Now that Pixelfusion has bitten the proverbial dust, I'm having a hard time finding anyone who is "considering using" DRDRAM. And I won't be able to accept any part of SDRAM/DDR technology as belonging to RMBS until and unless the Supreme Court tells me I have to do so.

So I am having a rough time taking such possible action by Infineon seriously. What I find truly incredible is the complete lack of an explanation for the ITC boo boo. To accept the explanation that its just a matter of consolidating suits or wanting an injunction issued against everyone in the same court requires major bat guano for brains.

I have no idea what went wrong, but its clear that something occurred to alter the legal course that RMBS has charted from the beginning. I assume that Hyundai won't object to dismissal of the ITC case, but it would be fun to see them try to insist that the dismissal be entered with prejudice.

But unlike the Bussers here, Hyundai is probably not making its decisions for entertainment value.
