jmac: The guidelines were set up to maintain the quality of the posts and to encourage cordial discussion. Some folks just like to blast in and throw out conjector, gut feels and or grandstanding predictions. This helps no one...

However, TA is only one form of analysis...both fundamental and sentiment analysis qualify as efforts to support ones expectations.

Regards,
LG

rydex numbers don't support the cries of bearish sentiment. There was a glimmer of hope for a bounce though, as a lot of money moved out of the SPX long Rydex fund. The same can not be said of the NDX long Rydex fund, which continues to exude extreme optimism. The bounce can be expected to draw in those who started to figure out they might be better off leaving the pool <ggg>, and the put/call ratio is confirming the extreme nervousness even given the rising premiums. However, the trend for commercials to continue to increase their exposure on the short side continues to warrant extreme caution should a bullish move ensue. I will probably buy a panic move down should it occur but I won't be holding too long. Should a real stealth bull leg evolve, I will continue to search for stocks which have put in a suitable base to sustain a real bull move.
