Scanning my charts this weekend and I ran across something puzzling that I thought I would throw at the board and see what bounces back. As I was looking at hundreds of charts collapsing all over the place I noticed that other than Insurance stocks, Generic Drug makers have been holding up fairly well. Now not all drug stocks are doing well and the biotechs are also sliding but the generic drug manufacturers are doing nicely so far. I can't think of a FA reason for this unless it is assumed Gore is going to win and shorten patent life spans in an effort to reduce drug prices or something extreme like that. Is this just an apparition or something more meaningful? OT I find it amusing that Clinton realizing his legacy was going to be people remembering him as the president with his pants around his ankles lying to the public about not having sex until the DNA evidence was thrown in his face then rushed to hold a middle east summit to try and broker a peace deal and put a positive page at the end of his sleazy novel. Instead he may leave office with the largest all out war in the middle east since 1973. I sure hope he doesn't expect us to go in there and stand in the middle of the shooting. That place makes Vietnam look like a cinch. I don't think a battle could be won there short of just leveling the whole area and rebuilding from scratch. Funny how religion that is all about peace and love for your fellow man equates into the biggest losses of life.
