Bob Dornan was one of your Congressmen from Ca.. However, I would imagine an organization like that would have hundreds of thousands or millions of people aboard. Nearly all thinking people are for Bush and want to not stop Gore from any honorable endeavor but definitely stop him from further disgracing our high office of President.

Patricia: re: the so-called Committee to Stop Al Gore:

Alexandermf , who hopefully is recovering nicely from heart surgery, received some campaign literature from this gaggle of clowns about a week ago.

Bob Dornan used to represent part of California's Orange County until up-and-coming Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez, one of the rising stars in the Democratic Party (and In America), narrowly beat him four years ago. Dornan screamed and hollered and pitched a fit and demanded a recount. Then two years ago, Sanchez cleaned Dornan's clock so good in the rematch that Dornan went into hiding. Now he's affixed his name to this piece of right-wing garbage.

Dornan's voting record was comparable to Cheney's when the latter was in Congress. Dornan had an eduction voting record of zero (0) as tracked by the NEA's legislative office. He voted against every piece of legislation that anything to do with helping kids.

And people on this board wonder why some of us vote Democratic.

Because they are an independent expenditure, there is no limit as to what they can spend and they can be much tougher as to what they say

you must be speaking of Gores "soft" money, because up to now, he and HIS "independants" have spent much more than Bush in soft money ads. It is only now, as he runs out of that big money, that he wants to tout "reform" and calls on Bush to not use soft money from here on in. What a joke.
