Great Spirit, the tax cut is not borrowing. This is the issue Gore thinks will win him the election. "Don't give that rich 1% all that money." It is the most-oft repeated line from both debates, and clearly the most important to Gore. I find the argument very disingenuous. He knows over half of the people in the country currently pay no taxes. They are going to vote to keep the cash coming in, which is a vote for Gore. It is interesting that the democratic party now sells itself as the fiscally responsible party. That is the most deft sleight of hand in Clinton's legacy.

American Spirit--Yeah, I guess it was like Reagan and Bush were running the U.S. governnent using margin. Interesting parallel. Maybe we should view Bush as the shorter as well--LOL!
