Yes, I have been there several times the last couple of weeks. I had downloaded the new iomega software but have now gone back to the original software. Both made the computer unstable and sluggish. I may attach it to a laptop and see what happens but will have to cure some other issues with the laptop first (like getting it back from my daughter).<G>

I also downloaded the new iomegaware on the new computer, but still no diagnostic tab and no serial number revealed. All search results about serial numbers on the iomega website refer to the machines rather than the disks. There is some discussion of the serial numbers on the disks on the internet (specifically related to altering them via linux)possibly being used to hinder/help the music industry.
Is the iomegaware what provides you with the serial number or is it the norton software? I see a Norton tab but have not yet renewed my license so can not tell what it may reveal.
