I have no idea why anyone would ever have a GTC order on a NASDAQ stock.

If the stock happens to hit your limit, you'll get filled there on the way down.

If the stock trades there only briefly before going back up, odds are you won't get filled, as those orders are still 'not held'.

It's a lose-lose, with the market maker getting a win-win.
