Albert, yeah, JJ confessed that they lifted those (errant) numbers from the Register.

I don't think there is a common primary source. The register typo was just that, they read the 900 price instead of the 850, when writing up the price drop article.

JJ (or rather, his 'new assistants') copied the Register page, and provided false attribution ("brokers tell us...").

See my earlier post of his email response.

He should REALLY issue a corrected report with proper attribution. I mean, jeez, not very professional, huh?

Actually, if companies stop handing out inside information prior to releasing it to the public then, what else can the Analysts do?
