Re: Sorry, not good enough, the whole economy is going to slow down and we're throwing out the babies with the bath water...as usual.

Jim,

I really don't think we've even seen the begining of the selling.

When it starts, nothing will matter. Ever check out what levels the dividend yield on the S&P got to in past bear markets? Compare that to now.

People are still in denial that this is ending. Those that own SUNW, CSCO, MSFT, etc for $1 a share, are they hurting, or is this just a minor setback that will take care of itself?

We haven't seen pain yet, nothing close IMO.

Not sure when, but when there's a 5 billion share day on the Naz and the PoG jumps more than $20 in one day, that will signal PANIC selling and FEAR.

Very little of this has anything to do with the economy IMO. People try to argue that since the economic future looks bright, the stock market future should be bright. It's not that plain and simple IMO, they are only somewhat connected at best. There is no fear yet. There will be soon.

This market is going to implode soon. It can't hover at these insane levels for a few years to let valuations catch up like many people think. In many ways the stock market is the economy. Who doesn't make economic decisions based on how the market is doing? How many PC sales have been delayed over the past 6 months as people take a wait and see approach with big purchases? Who knows, but IMO the market has to go up or down. It can't stay flat. Too much of our growth lately has come from stock gains. Take those away and there's serious problems which are not factored into anyone's equations.

Also, the BLS stats on inflation are an absolute joke. What does the BLS stand for, the Beareau of Lies and Shit?

I don't even need to get into the accounting principles of companies like CSCO. Or vendor financing of the telco's. Or the level of consumer debt.

The dollar is strong now, wait until it is not.

In the meantime AMD is going to continue to get trashed. I've accepted this and am just playing the volitility for now. Until I see some things change that show me a different outlook, I will continue to play this like a bear market that's waiting to implode.

In the '90's, the best ANALyst on Wall Street was a parrott trained to say "buy the dip", now it's chirping "sell the bounce".
