Well, I understood you, I think, and found you eminently reasonable- Of course now that I've read what you wrote while I was busy responding, we seem to be saying the same thing- so no wonder I found you so rational.

Cosmic - I can already visualize you loading the chamber ready for another smart elak reply.. Listen, if you already have a gun, why do you need another one RIGHT AWAY? Guns are not, as you refer to them: This is about waiting periods for purchases of new equipment Guns ARE dangerous, whether used in a safe environment or in war. They cause DEATHS and injuries whether YOU like it or not.. Listening to you cry like a baby cause you can't put your hands on MORE GUNS as soon as you'd like to, is pretty silly in my opinion. You can't treat buying a deadly weapon as if it were the same as buying any household utility. All I'm saying is.. Give the appropriate authority(ies) the time necessary to do some due dilligence on the prospective weapon purchasor. Not to do a pathetic 20 second computer search or to browse through some outdated state database.. But to do the appropriate and valuable checks that one should pass before "qualifying" for ownership.. Perhaps if you had a personal experience with the shoe on the other foot you'd better understand.. Perhaps not.. But I DO agree that we disagree, and that's ok with me. Waiting period or not, I'd rather have a bowl of popcorn.
