I don't know if you know Glenn who used to post around here but now has his own site.

At any rate I think it was perhaps 2 years ago almost that Glenn felt that long distance would end up basically free at some point and that the companies would end up charging for band width. Not smart enough to totally understand what he was saying but perhaps this is a move in that direction. Charge for delivering people to your site, charge us folks at home for the amount of usage we have and get back to making money.

I think his simple explanation was that phone usage didn't really require any bandwidth to speak of, but the internet usage and transfer of info was requiring much more and that at some point we would have to pay for that in some way.

Any thoughts as I am worse then simple at this kind of stuff?

Zactly..... interesting that it is charging the vendors though... but interesting thought.... Not sure the dog will hunt but this what the future brings...
