I see you've completely bought into the WhopperAl concept of those industries being our enemy. Drug companies are a business which in the aggregate have saved far more lives than you can imagine. Oil companies provide energy for our economic machine to prosper. Solar and wind technology have not won in the marketplace, simply because they're more expensive to implement than coal, oil, gas or nuclear power.

Other nations can do what they wish. But I wouldn't trade America's freedom or success with any of them.

If I had my choice, I would like to see us start building nuclear power plants again. Nuclear power is safe, clean and provides more pound for the buck than any other source of energy. Unfortunately, environmental zealots such as Whopper Al, have worked hard to prevent nuclear power from reaching the masses. And driven up the cost (primarily due to litigation). As a pay-off to lawyer lobby groups.

They've also been successful in drumming up enough fear regarding nuclear energy to keep the public ignorant about its benefits.
