I don't like to turn on whirling knifes even if I'm only sleepy. -ng- and your lathe idea was particularly bad. My dad, an engineer, had an engineer pal of his doing some stuff in production/time measurement on a lathe wearing a long tie. Tore his head right off before the shocked foreman could shut it down. All the guys that went on the shop floor after that wore bow ties.
