Hi Jack, I sent an e-mail off to Bob. Doesn't seem to be a major problem. try 10/13/00__. For some reason it doesn't work on 10, 11, or 12th of the month, but it works on the days after that. Hope this helps. Bernie

Hi All It appears there is a problem in Visual Basic 3 that's causing the date to not be accepted. I've tried it in VB6, which is what I'm writing version 2 in, and it works fine. As Bernie said, if you change the date to 10/13/00 it works. It looks like that's going to be the best solution for the next few days. Newport will reset your system date if you change to 10/13, so you will need to reset your date back when you're finished with Newport. To do that, double click on the time in the taskbar at the lower right. It will bring up a window to reset the date and time. I'm truly sorry for the problem. I thought all this Y2K BS was behind us. As I mentioned at the Las Vegas users meeting, I'm not a big fan of Bill Gates. This latest glitch solidifies my thinking. Again, I apologize. Bob PS - Still working on version 2, and still cussing at Microsoft. I've got over 150 meg of programming software that still can't do the simplest things. If you think Word and Excel have turned into bloatware you should see this stuff. Trying to be everything to everyone is not the way to go in my opinion.
