Hi John,

I'm back from my trip. Was yesterday the bottom for INTC? I sure hope so. INTC is now back to 40. edit - 39 1/2.

Can you believe this, as we were waiting to be picked up to be taken to the airport, we heard the INTC "warning". Great timing for me as I then had to spend the next umteen hours sitting right next to my wife and having to explain to her why I still am bullish. I actually had time to read their press release and to review and compare it to their statement at the end of the 2nd Q. If I'm not mistaken, I never saw an actual number for the estimated growth of revenues from Intel - only that it would be "up." When I started to read the news as reported by CNN's Moneyline and what the available US papers had to say, I was constantly dismayed by the incorrect reporting. The most common errors, I thought, were saying that Intel had warned of lower "profits" and that Intel's expected 8-10% growth in #3Q rev was only going to be 3-5%. The market believes what it wants to believe and this is why there are regularly great buying opps.

The next 17 days were no fun either - except for that wonderful distraction that is France.

Still in jet lag so I was up at 7:00 am your time today so I watched the NAS futures go from +32 to -30 in about a half hour.

It sure is nice to be back. <g>
