<< But what exactly are we waiting for? >>
The Washington Post reported today that "Chinese Talks on WTO Stall" due to massive disagreements over important details which will delay China's entry until at least next year. QCOM's agreements could be held hostage.

Q has said all along they are waiting for a list of approved manufacturers from the Chinese government.
That would be a start, next I expect a big order to Lucent since they are supposedly a prefered vendor.
Lastly I expect an announcement from either the MII or Unicom that they are starting the buildout of a narrowband CDMA system, this of which I give the least amount of credence and importance, since they tend to speak out of both sides of their mouths.
