Yes, charts actually talk to me now, sometimes sing. You don't need all the indicators over time, or you will just use a few and they will hint all the others. Also helps if you know how they are derived, then you know what to look for in just the charts.

I have a slightly different take on what you so succinctly described....I have spent more than a few years in the business, a number trading index futures in various pits, one does indeed get an intuitive feel for the ebb and flow of the market.....when I quasi retired from it three years ago and eventually started to trade from home I found I did not have the same "feel"; I was desperate to recapture it and used excessive TA in a (i believe) misguided attempt to force the market to adapt to me.....I am now much more comfortable allowing price and volume to suggest what the market has in store .....ian
