Have you considered that some of those things that you see as bad for the country might be considered good by George Bush.

Tim,

I don't see how supporting the interests of a special group like big oil or tobacco can be good for the entire country.

Nonetheless, its true I don't have the whole picture nor the view that Bush has.

TW,
RE:"I think one of the better things Bush did was his selection of Cheney as a running mate. I was very impressed by him in the debate, and I am rarely impressed by politicians. I'd probably rather see Cheney as president then Bush. (and I would definitely rather see Leiberman as president then
Gore.)"

---

The media clearly set out to smear Cheney early and cubbie hole him as "rich old guard". First thing out out their mouths was the Mandela thing. After that the figured they had him holed and basically ignored him. It's not until they were literally forced to give him air time via debate did we see just how intelligent a man he is and like you said, a good choice by Bush.
It should be very evident how the liberal press is orchestrating the election. Sure, some try to be unbiased but the bias shows through regardless. Some are more blatant about it.
