Ron,

There is good news though. API numbers came out after the market close today. Oil supplies were down 8 million barrels as were heating oil supplies. Oil was trading +.73 after hours.

Look for another pop in oils tomorrow if DOE numbers confirm in the a.m.

So much for pulling oil out of the strategic oil reserve.

Goodbye Mr. Gore. :o)

Paul

was out most of the afternoon, came home to check the news. Think YHOO was a net positive. numbers were strong, concerns about weak advertisers were in line with expectations. AH sell-off need be re-examined after tomorrow's reaction. Think more than anything else, re-affirms YHOO as a true leader in the internet.
LU is more troubling. While probably primarily company specific, fear that it will rain hard on the whole fiber optic sector: GLW, NT, JDSU, SDLI, CIEN, etc.
There is a growing sense of panic in the market. It is likely what we need- capitulation.
Let me repeat things that i have said earlier at times like this, and i will use CAPS:
THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO BE IN MARGIN
THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO MAKE WILD STABS AT FALLING STOCKS IN HOPES OF MAKING UP FOR BIG LOSSES ELSEWHERE
THIS IS THE TIME TO SELL OFF STUFF THAT SHOULD NOT BE OWNED
THIS IS THE TIME TO HAVE CASH AVAILABLE FOR FUTURE USE
THIS IS THE TIME FOR A DRINK.
EOM.
