Good morning Jack, I wasn't in the office much yesterday but while there I could smell the ozone coming from Newport Programs' offices! I believe the term for the day was "searching the code." Guess who got to be guinie pig (sp?) for that D/L? :-)

Meanwhile at Veale Intl. a few more GTC orders filled yesterday. I was amazed with the dip in JBL and that was one purchase made. It was peculiar in that the order didn't all fill in one block. Not being a big order, I would have expected it to fill all at once, but the order was split and two separate prices given. The first half was at my limit of $43-5/8 and the second at $43-1/2. I'm not complaining, but this isn't a thinly traded stock, so was surprised to see such a split.

Again yesterday, my "black gold" portion of the portfolio was shining brightly. The energy related issues did well at the same time the market was taking a meat axe to some of my other issues. These are the ones that had been holding up so brilliantly during September's bashing. VTSS dropped a pile, but is still above my next buy. JBL gave up about 10% for the day triggering those buys. Some others were weak as well. On Monday my GENE biotech tripped a buy but was left pretty much all by itself yesterday.

I'll probably trip one more UOPIX buy today as the price is now below my next AIM buy point. It will all depend upon market direction mid-day. Guess I'll have to go to work today!

Maybe the market knew I wasn't in the office yesterday and tried to take advantage of VIEW! Little did they know that our warehouse was fully buttressed with Limit Orders on all sides! As the Lemmings attacked, VIEW didn't even have to sound "Battle Stations." So far, it's been a well executed defense plan.

I'll be checking the powder today and cleaning Newport's barrel and breach. An inspection of the battlements will take place early this AM to ensure that all Limit Orders are in place and ready.

Best regards,
