<<I support your (limited) right to bear "arms". Always have. But the key word is limited. That is what you have, that is what you will keep. Your guns are much better than the ones Ron was talking about ... muskets. You should be happy I don't make you go back to those. I won't. But don't expect any larger caliber rapid fire weapons in that old Xmas stocking. >>

Please define "large caliber rapid fire".

Don't you get? Gore has been quoted as wanting a total ban of private ownership of every semi-automatic firearm! He has also spoken for a total gun registration & that we should consider centralized storage.

Such radical statements do NOT induce most sane & responsible people to enter into any discussion of moderate laws or rules. These statements only breed fear & contempt.

<<You should be happy I don't make you go back to those.>>

Good thing, you don't have the power. There is a concept the founders held dear, "Consent of the Governed"; all "bigger government is better government" types really need com to grips with this idea. Remember what happened when the government overstepped their mandate & installed the 55 MPH speed limit against every interest of much of the western US?

We simply became a nation of law breakers across many of those states.
