I agree. However, the posts that are occurring on this thread are really not discussing that relationship to the markets, but about making political points....a big difference. I am not agreeing or disagreeing with anyone's position or that the topic is not important...this is just not the thread for that political debate.

Further, IMHO the present debacle in the stock market will play well in A Gore hands as the other idiot wants to invest Social Security money in the stock market "for improved returns".

Interesting is the fact that just a year or so ago Bush preferred financial adviser claimed that such an attempt is irresponsible.
