One of the crashes that did occur was when I was defraging the hard drive. It stopped and said this program has performed an illegal operation which caused me to think about reinstalling windows. I wasn't there when that happened. My Sister called me up to tell me about the same time she asked if she could take the computer back. I have norton works I got when I bought a Maxtor hard drive so I will install it on her machine and see what happens. Before I did the defrag and scandisk I did clean out all Caches and temp files. Thing is this is a new machine and only has about one hours worth of use on it.

Thanks for your suggestions. I will let you know what happens.
