Dave - RE: "This would be very, very, bad IMO. I wonder why? Light DEMAND? This could explain why AMD has not commented on Q4, whatsoever. Only the party line that they are on track for Q3.

If this is the case, I will sell at LEAST half my shares. Probably much more."

This is the fifth person (Chuck, 3 analysts, RWT) since yesterday afternoon to mention the 7.2M seven gen number may be too high. MOT is getting killed today for lowering earnings expectations for the rest of this year and '01. Everything depends on the guidance AMD gives, and what kind of spin they put on it.

I'm not the kind to sell my shares right before an earnings report. If I did it would probably be done out of emotion rather than reason and that's not good.

Re:This would be very, very, bad IMO.

Dave,

Agreed. Considering the huge door that Intel is leaving open for AMD to drive through(no P4 volume, 1.13 delayed again)any talk of reduced Athlon shipments could send us back to the low teens or single digits even.

Re:If this is the case, I will sell at LEAST half my shares.

I may do the same before the day is over. All this talk over reduced expectations has me real nervous all of the sudden.
