What about the super fast wildcat rounds like .25 - 06 for varmint. Flat, fast. A little light but good to 500+ yards.

OT :

You know, I've tried and tried, but I can't even GUESS what firing one of those .50 bolt actions would be like. You fired one?!! I haven't fired anything bigger than my .30-06. I actually prefer the .270 that my brother has over the .30-06 I have. Same model, chambered differently. My dad has a lovely solid walnut Husky .270. I'd love to get that rifle.

BTW, do they have a magazine on that .50, or are they truly single shot?
