Actually the biggest joke is Internet Trading. We should go back to the old days when you had to use a phone and a broker and pay super high commissions. (I bet there would be less volatility in the market)

Ya, this dam Internet is just making everything so cheap. Damn new fad is wrecking everything.

I bet people who use to ride horses to work, were pissed off at the cars driving past them, damn new fad, the automobile, never last...LOL

PS
WOW, did that gadget stock do well today, huh? (HAND)

Re internet as a fad:

Actually, the internet is the latest in a long line of innovations whose primary purpose has been to facilitate the delivery of pornograpy.

No matter what the technological advance, its initial and most profitable use will be to provide easier access to pornography.

The video cassette player, the internet, dvd, broadband ... if you want to make money off any of these things, use them to transmit dirty pictures.

Glad to see you posting again Anthony...would love to hear how the past 4 months have affected you. I'm guessing that you found them to be some very important months. Anyway, glad to have you back, the place hasn't been the same without you.

Internet,

The only true money makers in it are the Porno and gambling web sites.
Definitely a sespool wasteland.

A@P: I would be interested to know what you mean when you say "the internet." What does it comprise?

Bathroom stall?

November 2000 issue

'The Internet Is Going to Change Wall Street as We Know it.'

fastcompany.com

>"What is every dotcom trying to do? They're trying to build a client base, build a brand, raise capital, develop market expertise. We have all that. We're not trying to build all that. We're just trying to recontextualize it for a new environment." If Morgan can bring the power of Internet innovation to its existing businesses, if it can reach clients it has never reached before, and if it can create new trading tools and online marketplaces, then LabMorgan will have fulfilled its purpose. "A company with a '.com' at the end of its name, or an 'e-' at the beginning, a press release, and some vaporware does not a business make," Maillet continues. "J.P. Morgan has the strength -- if we can transform ourselves."<
