Absolutely no offense intended! I have lived here too long to NOT understand the A&M tradition!!!
I love tradition and rituals. I love my alma mater. ("We're spiders born and Spiders bred, and when we die we'll be Spiders dead..") Last year was the first reunion in thirty years at U of R that I missed. It was terrible.

ALthough I do NOT want to have some strange man wrapping his leg over mine at a football game. Have you done this cheer? My very refined, proper Southern belle friend went to a game last year and this happened to her. She was in an agony of embarrassment. Said she wouldn't let her own husband put a leg over her in public, why would she let some drunken Aggie.
(Hmm- you didn't happen to sit next to an attractive 40s blonde last year who sat in frozen terror for two hours, did you?)
Just gigging you, Aggieman. :)

A& M is THE school to go to here in Southlake- that and UT of course. When CW was applying to Stanford and Rice and UVa and Washington and Lee, people were like-- well- what about A&M-can't you get in?
These past few weeks, I've become aware that somewhere in the past twenty years, I've developed a real affection, even allegiance to the Lone Star state.
