Just came back from watching debate with a group of people. No doubt that Bush's improvement was dramatic since the first debate. And, Bush was the decisive winner of this debate----the last debate was a draw with perhaps a little edge for Gore.

Not surprising, as the first debate was imo a dry run for Bush to assess how Gore would handle himself and what issues he would hit upon. And, vice versa for Gore.

Gore made a mistake in putting on his "baby blue" tie---not very Presidential looking. I wonder what color he will put on for the final debate---yellow--perhaps? Bush kept with the traditional power red.

The familial relationship with President George Bush does not mean that this Bush will be a carbon copy of his Dad. IMO Governor Bush is his own person and will be a much stronger President than George Bush ever was.

Bush won on the closing statement---he covered all bases putting forth very succinctly his comprehensive approach to governing. Gore talked only about education in his closing statement.

Having worked in the education field I know the importance of education in the USA; however, I also know that education is only one concept which a President will address.

Coming from a state where oil is big business, Bush obviously understands the issues surrounding pollution and clean air and the scientific developments already developed and being developed to address environmental concerns. No doubt he knows about "global warming" also---one of the very in things to be concerned about over the past 30 years.

And, the hate crimes----Bush never quite said what was needed here but I am sure he understands. That is that we don't need a hate crime bill to prosecute murderers. The laws already exist for prosecuting people who kill others.

The point he did make was that justice would be served. Good enough.
