Nice post Roger

I won't leave the thread

We can still have the second trip to Chile, as some have suggested, you're all very welcome. Best season is between December and February.

Kind regards,
#8 Pareto

Let's go4it

Mergers have the name to be a drain of management resources, a reason to leave for many entrepreneurial spirits, a waste of time on strategy discussions, a culture clash and so on.

A merger can as well be the basis for a tremendous powerful company. Like a team of rowers in the olympic 8.

Borders are just administrative definitions. Many differences are cultivated in our mind. Let's hope that the people of gnet and insp work together from day 1.

Story telling is important. Shared experiences are the basis of friendship. We did have a good time on the thread, thanks to all, including Josef.

Greetings my younger friend. Roger, today's elegy outshone even your paean to the messiah and Go2Net's many outstanding leaders and troops at the annual meeting. Those are not raindrops over Seattle on the weather maps, they are the tears flowing down the cheeks of all those deserving comrades at Go2Net. (Is Go2Space the nom de thread of the prankster who satanically brought the Patent Police down upon you). I recognize that this is a sad day, not only for Go2Net and GNETers, but, far more, for the U.S. Navy and its loyal sailors and families and for the suffering Israelis and Palestinians who seem unable to resolve their differences diplomatically, and not a time for humor, so I will stop here.

Just an auld geezer who wanted to say thanks to a very special person and much younger friend.

Sy

WOW, Roger, another classic.

It's tough to type with tears in my eyes.

I feel like my little boy has grown up and gotten married. I'll have to come back later when I stop crying.

AH ROGER!! (GNET's own VALEDICTORIAN!) What a beautiful piece you penned!! I've printed it out and have it tacked permanently on the cork board above my computer. It's so articulate and so "TRILLIONAIRE". (Maurice Chevalier was only "debonaire")Thanks for every moment you took from your day to give us another lovely "LONG" memory. But hey - we can all still live here on this thread, can't we? They haven't raised the rent or anything. Even though I lurk a lot, I realize I could be pulling a bit more of my own weight (weightless as we all are out here in cyberspace - is "INFOSPACE" our new address?) since I appreciate what you and Sarkie and Carolyn F and Sandintoes and KLP and Silver Sy and HO-MEE and Puna - yes, and levy - have given to all of us.
The last GNET meeting was so wonderful this morning. KLP and I loved being there and seeing our wonderful guys doing what they do best - especially Russell - articulating his vision (and, incidentally, showing that it's best if you take time to read a book once in a while - got that, Mr. Jain? - and that no matter how big your territory may be, a good book can still expand your horizons......)
Anyway, Roger, THANKS!
