i certainly hope that both sides can stop the escalation of fighting and let things cool, so they can return to negotiations. former prime minister perez has stated that arafat's compound was not bombed. targets were police stations, hit after folks were warned that they would be hit. i guess it depends on where the news is coming from. i saw the perez comments on cnn as he had finished discussions with tony blair in london. sometimes news is speculated on before events can be confirmed and the headlines turn out to be misleading. i only posted what i had read. again i hope they return to the negotiating table soon... pops
