"SSTI is 3 times the P/E and P/S of AMD"

SSTI is a leader in an industry where it is not only sold out but is sold out at rising prices. It also makes money on products sold by competitors thru its patent suite.

AMD is the high cost/low price competitor in a market it shares with a gorilla, and a market that is slowing and headed for massive overcapacity, not in a few months time - but right now. It got lucky with the athlon by introducing a new architecture at the same time Intel was getting the last out of its years old architecture, and at a time when Intel could not satisfy demand. That was a unique set of circumstances that might come along again in the next ten years, but in the meantime - it's single figures I reckon...

AMD's Q3 was not as good as expected for 3 reasons .
1. they spent an additional 28c per share on Capital Expansion ($88M) less that it would have been EPS 92c.
2. They sold 2.1M athlons and 1.5M duron , next quarter will see close to a doubling of Athlons.
3. The comm divsn revenue decrease.
Q4 will be over $1 EPS

-------------------------------

SSTI is growing at 100%+ and is still on target according to CEO to beat estimates. AMD is growing at a rate of uh... hang on, what did they say yesterday...

"Revenue will be flat or nominally higher than the third quarter's $1.2 billion."

As for your $1 eps they just announced, again yesterday, that it will be $0.50 - $0.60.

I stand by my single figures prediction for AMD that was ridiculed a few weeks back.
