Would probably require a total Intel Q3 meltdown for that to occur, and even then, it would be a brief excursion.

I think Intel will be able to fudge the numbers enough to present a merely 'rocky' Q3, and the analysts will be all too happy to eat it up, except for the handful of honest ones out there. Their Q4 projections should be very interesting... recovering corporate sales would seem to be their only hope.

GTW said PC holiday sales look strong. Music to AMD's ears.
IMHO,AMD conservatively lowered guidance so much that it could exceed esitimates. If GHZ TBird can get some penetration in coporate mkt and product mix leans much more to TBird, AMD might have an excellent Q4.
