Would probably require a total Intel Q3 meltdown for that to occur, and even then, it would be a brief excursion.

I think Intel will be able to fudge the numbers enough to present a merely 'rocky' Q3, and the analysts will be all too happy to eat it up, except for the handful of honest ones out there. Their Q4 projections should be very interesting... recovering corporate sales would seem to be their only hope.

Doug-

How long would the excursion have to last for Jerry to get back in at, say, 18?

As for Intel's report next week, I will repeat that I am very, very afraid. I know that I will catch flak if it is bad, and I hope a few of you remember that I have said I have some serious fears.

OTOH, Intel got some of the bad news out in its revenue warning and hopefully have already paid the price for weakness there.

Regards,
Frank

Doug,

Who makes up the group of honest ones?

What happen to AMD stock price if INTC met Q3 estimate but projects gloom & doom for Q4 & next year since they need to reduce prices to be competitive? Anyone care to speculate?
