Intel and AMD Investors,

Pricewatch just added a page for the 1.2 Ghz Thunderbird.
6 vendors, $499 the lowest price. The chip hasn't even launched yet. I vaguely remember this is the was Intel USED to do it...

1.1 Ghz Thunderbirds are $371 and in good quantity.

The cheapest Pentium III-1 Ghz is $675.

You can buy TWO 1.1 Ghz Thunderbirds for the price of one 1 Ghz Pentium III...

Looks like Jerry is goin' for market share big time.
...bin splits must be really good as AMD will fill the gap between P-III and P-4 in Mhz...

I can see why WS is shy of AMD...price wars freak 'em out...

a 1.3 Ghz thunderbird soon would help the pricing structure look better.
