mepci - what is wrong is that the market does not value PC companies much, and DELL has been trying to change the perception, but now MSD "says what he feels" and undoes all that effort.

mepci,

Far from blaming management, I applaud them. 27% projected revneue growth is fine with me. Compared to all the news out of the market, their growth for their size is great.

MSD's words have a tendency of biting him of late though. Europe isn't slowing down; 30% revenue growth very achievable; we will overtake CPQ as the PC leader; one of the top 5 PC companies will be out of business (or something like that). Fine. Express your beliefs, but don't spew unreachable beliefs especially while your credibility is in doubt. It help no one, especially not shareholders. Management also should curtail. Kemble has posted numerous occassions of verbose regarding Dell's growth.............then comes a pre-announcement....and another. Let the numbers do the talking. I posted an article detailing server growth in Japan up until June. MSD has frequently spoken of DELL's growth being 2-3 times the market's in different regions of the world and in different hardware segments. Let the numbers talk this time.

GO YANKEES,
Kaka
