I'm glad you're happy, Keith. However, with the steep drop on Thursday and the unbelievable recovery today, I didn't have either a buy or a sell to show for it. I must be under the Friday the 13th spell or something! Can't wait to update my page this week to see how it all affected me.

Sincerely,
RFH

(Is it "affected" or "effected?" Maybe socal steve can help me with this one?)

Ahoy Keith, I'm not sure the BEAR has gone back into hibernation yet, but yes, that was an impressive, all day rally.

I never would have guessed that the day would work out like that. With turmoil in the middle-East and all the long faces on Wall $treet I would have thought a rally to be the last thing we'd see.

The heavy seas we saw this last week took my YTD profits down from about 30% to about 18%. I didn't post prices as of Friday's close, so the 18% represents about the lowest point for the account for the week. My VTSS and JBL both did their boomerang thing yesterday each with about 12% rises. JBL I got AIM buys in VTSS was still a dollar away from a buy and didn't fill my GTC order. Oh well!

We're still afloat. Seas look calmer. Or is this the eye of the storm passing over and there's still more heavy weather before we reach port? Pulling in some of the Catch this week, I paused to say, "Holy Mackarel!!!" I think we may have landed a few prize winners. We'll see when we take them to market.

Best regards,
Capt. Tom

Tell me!

I was kicking myself for missing PALM @ 39 1/4 on Wednesday (chalk it up to a brain fart), but yesterday I did manage a 5% addition to my position @ 46 5/8. Wouldn't you know it, it closed up 14% from there @ 53 3/16.

This week in PALM:
From the opening on Monday dropped 9% to a low of 39 1/4
From the low on Wednesday, it went up 36% to close the week just 7/8 short of my next sell.

End of week AIM buying/selling would not have reaped those rewards. Nothing magic about a week, month, etc.

BTW. Now out of powder as I got 2 additional buys yesterday. Hope I inadvertantly called the bottom this time.

Regards, Steve@Sideline.com
