11/9 AMD's annual analyst meeting might be the catalyst. AMD will reveal biz status, chipset, demand outlook, sell through, product dev status.

Niceguy,

Oct will be a bust.

Nov options should be good.

Prior to the investor conference is a great time.

So first week november is probably a good time.

Worked like a charm last year as well if i recall.

regards,

Kash

It was indeed painful to watch AMD on Friday the 13th. I increased my holdings from 190 shares to a current 610 shares during the week, primarily on margin. Nevertheless, I am hoping for just a slight rally on Monday, with a close slightly below 22.50. I would like to be able to sell my existing shares and buyback at a lower price point before closing. I think AMD will get hammered by Intel's earnings report and would like to have my purchases at safer price points.
