I was looking forward to spending the evening with my family. Instead, I am forced to explain trades that I make. I will not express my feeling about this inconvenience at this time. At the same time, I doubt that I can get through this without "venting" back. So please forgive me in advance.

Perhaps you are taking SI a little too seriously these days? Could I recommend a thread for you?

Subject 36769

And you are not mistaken that for many months now, on a daily basis, whenever I decide to post my trades in real-time. . . no matter which way I trade, nor whether the stock is at the top or bottom of its intraday. . . heavy volume tends to play in an opposite direction. Lately many traders have pointed out that these efforts have increased dramatically.

Just curious, but do you REALLY believe that stocks the size of YHOO or PMCS are manipulated because RANDE IS bought shares? Are the MM's and big institutions out to fight RANDE IS, of SI fame, and willing to move many millions of dollars to thwart YOU? What is the motive? What is the gain? Make that argument with a thinly traded penny stock or micro-cap, and you've got an argument. Make those same statements in reference to YHOO and the like, and it becomes laughable.

NOONE here asked for my opinion, but I have followed you for quite some time, and have formed one. And since I am a member of SI, I will voice it: I have moved from a trader to a buy and hold type, investing in Gorillas and Kings now. It suits MY style better. I still read your thread, finding kernels of knowledge now and again. Overall, you have become a victim of your success. Thread bloat is overwhelming, the number of incorrect calls is skyrocketing, calls pronouncing "market bottom", "buying on the dip", "loading up", and the like must be setting a new record. Aside from your uncanny long term direction calls, and Mark Konrad being a quality T/A guy, this thread has digressed terribly. (Apologies to JLS and a few others who have a higher percentage of quality to their posts) The TRUE percentage losses of traders/readers of this thread must be staggering.

And for the final insult, (as if posting anything that contradicts you isn't an insult), Joe's post was right on, and is shared quietly by MANY lurkers and readers alike. This market is difficult, if not IMPOSSIBLE to trade. RANDE IS is human, and your constant posting of winning trades in losing stocks is difficult to believe. Now, perhaps you are TRULY a GREAT ONE, then congrats.

There is no need to respond to my post if you are pressed for time. I felt like expressing my opinions in this OPEN forum, and am not looking for a response.

All the best,

Jason W

I am glad that there is some tone of respect in your response while I notice that you are unsure whether I fit in with Softechie or not. Please do not lump me with him. I think/hope that my post had a tone of concern and respect not one of rudeness. I made no effort to criticize your view on the market and stated clearly that I did not expect you to be Superman. I just stated an annoyance that I felt was affecting the quality of the thread for me. Thank you for responding. I guess the bottom line for me is that I am not really interested in hearing about trades made so far into the past that the information is no longer useful except as a recap. There are just two possible reactions. One is frustration when I am holding the bag. I cannot help but feel a tone of smugness even when the poster surely is not smug. I would say please refrain from this if this was my thread, but it certainly is not just my thread. So I feel free to state that it is annoying to me so that that annoyance can freely be discussed and if it bothers others, worked on. It is not the bad calls that bother me as much as the good news. Good news is OK when you make a great call and come back to celebrate it but when it relates to either no call at all or a bad one, it often results in frustration for this reader. Thanks

PS I absolutely take issue with this "Many of us work VERY hard here, and do not need to put up with nonsense. PERIOD" I take this thread very seriously and I know, from my very full PM Inbox that I am not alone in thinking that quality has suffered. I strongly suggest that you take note since you care about this thread. I am trying to help what many of us work very hard to do. I hope that you were just referring to Softechie here and not my post. But, I feel from your post that I am not included in that us who works hard. Rather I am nonsense and I am very sorry to hear that. It really hurts me. My post was in response to my respect for the time that you put into this thread. I would hope that you instead wonder why a poster who has been here for a year respectfully raises some concerns. And I wouldn't mind an apology for the impression that I am not part of the group that works hard and that this is nonsense. And I am sorry about the brink of the abyss quote. That was misplaced. I missed Softechie's agenda and clearly that is my own naivete.

Randy I would suggest you to take a break at this time. It seems you have been working too hard and sometimes it really clouded your vision and thinking. I'm sure you want to help everyone in here and you're right you're not superman. Relax and come back fresh and new and Nasdaq will be waiting for you with another run to 5000. Good luck.
