ice i got a letter from my oil company in boston which guarantees i will not pay more then 1.49 for oil this winter. last year i payed 84 cents, if the shortages were that great i`m sure i would not have received this letter. regards john

Ice, good questions. Could part of the confusion about the amounts of heating oil being exported be due to the fact that portions of the SPR oil recently "loaned" out will NEVER be refined as heating oil? The SPR crude could be intended for export (unrefined) or just sold into the domestic crude market as an arbitrage play (some of the winners were listed as "traders")?

If you have seen anything written about the issue of heating oil exports please pass it along, most of what I have seen has been about crude exports.
