I guess you missed the part about Clinton pushing for the missile shield for the US. That didn't go over well with the Chinese for the last two years. If you'd bother to pick up the paper...

I can't see wasting money on a missile defense. Terrorists are more likely to use shoulder-launched explosives or car bombs.
