Either. If Intel's report is worse than expected, the Nasdaq will drop and AMD will take the brunt of it because they are into microprocessors. If Intel's report is better than expected, AMD's stock will take a hit because Intel will be perceived as a stronger competitor than previously thought. The only way AMD will escape the wrath of Intel's report is if it is right on target. And even this will not trigger a rebound.
