Why won't either candidates pledge to eliminate Federal agencies? Is it because they don't want to impinge on anyone's "turf"? Is it because they will have less "plums" to hand out? Have any of you ever seen the "Plum Book"? I have. (1) Why so much overlap between the FBI, the DEA, the ATF, and the Justice Department? How many billions could be saved by consolidating them? (2) What is with the Labor Department? Why is their budget so big? (3) Why have a Treasury Department and an Internal Revenue Service? Because you can hand out more "plums"? Consolidate them and save $500,000,000 per year! Everyone knows both agencies have political motivations. (4) What is with the Energy Department? What the hell do they do? Why is their budget so big? (5) What is with the DEP? What do they do? Why is their budget so big? Why won't Carol Browning pose nude in Playboy (okay, that last one is just a personal aside). (6) What is with the War Memorials Commission? This is a coveted seat in the "Plum Book," they get to go to England, France, Germany, all at taxpayer expense and first class, just to look at war memorials! (7) Why don't people care about this stuff?
