Now, wait a minute! Yes, wait a minute!! Indeed, let's wait a minute!!!

Is Bush really Gore? Or is Gore really Bush? Did poor Mr. Bush make the same mistake as poor Mr. Gore?

>>>Bush, appearing on ABC's This Week Sunday, argued that a look at July, rather than June figures, shows Texas ranking higher than the national average in signing up children for the summer food program.

(Bush spokesman Dan Bartlett said later that Bush meant to say the June numbers were higher than the national average.).<<<

According to the GOPwinger Smear Parade, this makes Bush a "liar?" Or does Bush go by a double standard, one created by a campaign strategy to paint Gore as a "liar?"

You folks ready to put this issue to bed and give Gore a little credit for his contributions to the Internet?

It shows real desperation to post articles from weeks or months ago.

Keep dreaming Gore is going to win. It could be a landslide Bush victory if Gore performs as well as he did in the last two debates on Tuesday.

How many tales do you suppose Whopper Al will tell?

My prediction. Four.

Bush added that Gore's attacks are turning people off. "People do
not like the politics of tearing people down," he said.

This may be true--Here in Texas, the denigration of the state by Gore has people very angry if the talkshows are any indication. They feel that a very one-sided and narrow interpretation is being presented of the problems this state faces and the depth, uniqueness, and longevity of these problems. They see Gore's attack on Bush to have gone too far and become instead one on them and their way of life. One caller who resides in a town where Lieberman stopped said that it was a controlled photo-op with pre-arranged crowds and that careful screening and control was in effect. No opposition allowed.

I don't know that the rest of the country cares, but Texans aren't too thrilled by the painting of their state as a third world country by Gore-LIeberman.
