Lynn, Also, slower outdated machines rapidly turn into junk.

This is so true! I almost feel off my chair laughing.

Too my left is an old Compupro S100 bus system that hasn't been started in years. It is (was?) powered by a 10 MHz 286. It was one of those huge two box affairs that became known as a "boat anchor" by the early 1990's. I should pitch it but I have spent too much time with it in the past, it would be kinda like throwing on of the kids away.

Behind me are a IBM-PC compatible 386 and 486 boxes (both operational but unused and both slow as turtles). For my needs neither are appropriate.

Also in my room are two usable three year old Pentium 200 MHz systems which are soon to be replaced.

Any machines that are built today have the same fate awaiting them. How strong will a 1.2 GHz system be in three years?

Kindes regards,
CrazyMan
