Dan .. I hate to intrude .. but .. in my experience any "Pattern" that holds the FlagShip is the one in control longer term. The Flagship pattern is determined by a Reversal candle with confirmation. 3 Crows .. Bozu 3 wings .. simultaneous 3 wings .... etc .. show 'Continuation' of the flagship pattern NOT a reversal. This URL shows no reversal candles but a reversal Pattern. litwick.com Powerful Reversal candles are Bozu Hammer Doji. They carry their own weight on a reversal but they need confirmation. After the Reversal candle and confirmation ... comes the Flagship pattern. It will control until another Flagship takes it's place. I look for Reversal Candles like Fri //// That Bozu is Very hard to ignore .. Now it needs confirmation. You will notice 3 Black Crows in an 8 to 10 New Price Low .... I love that pattern. When it reverses .. it's a Rockin Up Move. NAZ never let the 8 to 10NPL show thru all of this down stroke. Hope that helps. Ray

Dan, I started to recheck your dates, and the very 1st 2 you mentioned were not 3-BLACK CROWs on the SPX (5/23 and 4/14) Although it is best that the 3 candles should be the same size, it could just be similar or progressive. Progressive meaning day 2 slightly larger than day 1 and day 3 slightly larger than day 2. Lets say day 1 was large, day 2 small, day 3 large, but all the other requirements are met. I would say that such was not a 3 BLACK CROW. One also needs to watch the shadow. If any of the shadows are too large that may disqualify it also. Right now I dont have daily candlestic charts going back to 99/98 that I can see without getting a headache. gggggggg
