Thanks for a wonderful analogy between trading and the practice of psychology...what is, is.

It reminds me of a great little book called Nothing , by James Sloman. Recommended by Dr. Van Tharp at one of his seminars. About the mind, existence, and reality.

it's not just coincidence that some of the best trading books were written by professional psychologists or Zen masters, eh? :)
I consider the books devoted to inner state to be the most useful and enlightening for my trading.
