Because everything we see or imagine must exist in present time That idea is very close to nihlsim. It is possible that nothing exists except your consciousness and we and all that you see are a product of your imagination. I can't prove this isn't so. I can say that this is highly unlikely, since your imagination would have to come up with events which appear novel to your conscousness in order for you to imagine yourself reacting. The information necessary is far far beyond the information necessary to actualy react to real events. TP
