S&P says Broadvision to replace PaineWebber in S&P500 Index
NEW YORK, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Electronic commerce software maker BroadVision Inc. (NASDAQ: BVSN) will replace brokerage PaineWebber Group (NYSE: PWJ)in the S&P 500 Index as of Oct. 23, Standard & Poor's said on Monday.

PaineWebber is being taken over by Swiss bank UBS AG (NYSE: UBS), and the deal is expected to close on that date, Standard & Poor's said.

BroadVision's shares closed up $1-13/16 at $23-13/16 on the Nasdaq while PaineWebber closed down 5/8 at $66-7/8.
