I was trying to drown out the "Rage Against The Machine" coming through the walls from my son's room upstairs <gg> Seriously, I had it off for months when I was in the trading room, but I feel the need to listen to something to help me keep track of market sentiment. In the room you could gauge by other traders comments and questions, but it's harder on SI. The reporters on cnbc mirror the emotions of inexperienced traders and investors. Euphoric during a rally and full of gloom and doom it's all over stories during a correction...I like to keep track of the crowd mentality. It can be isolating trading alone in a home office. Would be interesting to see what it was like to trade in an office with other professional traders during the extreme up and down periods...
